Festivous: SHORTSNONSTOP
The ideal, next step for your vimeos has arrived.
SHORTSNONSTOP is a year-round, online shorts fest focused on media made exclusively for online and mobile platforms. An extension of the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, SNS celebrates the truly indy by accepting three-minute (or less) videos without charging an entry fee. Innovative clips in any genre are continually accepted at the Web site — just upload and submit. Six times a year, 10 shorts are chosen to be promoted and distributed by TELUS, one of Canada's leading telecommunications companies, through its mobile network. One finalist will then be chosen by a rather prestigious panel of judges for a $1,000 cash prize. Not shabby. If you've got a great piece of ultra-short work, I highly recommend submitting.
Submission Guidelines:SHORT – running time must be under three minutes FORMAT – Windows Media, Audio Video Interleave, QuickTime, third-Generation Partnership Project - ENGLISH-LANGUAGE or NO DIALOGUE only YEAR OF PRODUCTION – no earlier than Jan. 1, 2005. Exclusive Canadian mobile distribution rights must be available for one year only. COPYRIGHT – all content, music, actors must be cleared – no exceptions! NO PORN, NO EXTREME VIOLENCE. Submit each film once, you may submit more than one film, but they must all be different.
Submission Deadlines:
Aug. 5, 2007; Oct. 5, 2007; Dec. 5, 2007; Feb. 5, 2008; April 5, 2008; June 5, 2008.
